2016 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards

The Oscars may be every shade of mayonnaise except one, but that didn’t stop Essence from honoring the Black women in Hollywood. Top names in Black Hollywood gathered to celebrate such excellence at the 2016 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards.

The ceremony was held on Thursday and aired on Saturday on OWN. Those awarded were entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw, actor Tracee Ellis Ross, and jack of all trades Debbie Allen.
