The life of a soldier is rough. It is unimaginable to most of us civilians. When soldiers have to readjust back to civilian life, it can be an unnerving experience. This can be made even worse when outside forces are also at work. Check out the synopsis and trailer for “Dangers of the Tongue” below.

Synopsis:

Cedrick is back in St. Croix after being honorably discharged from the military. His adjustment to civilian life is not what he imagined; things get more complicated when and old friend of his (G-dog) needs his help when he finds himself in jail. Cedrick wants to help his friend but he has to take unwanted risks that will make the Dangers of the Tongue a reality.

‘Storm Fan Film’

As long as Bryan Singer and Halle Berry are attached to the X-Men films, we’ll never get a decent portrayal of Ororo Munroe AKA Storm. Alexandra Shipp may give a decent portrayal, but with Singer involved, I doubt it. But luckily, someone made his own Storm fan film. It covers pieces of her childhood and time spent in Wakanda. It gives Storm more characterization than the X-Men films ever did. Bryan Singer should give this a watch, so maybe he can get some ideas of what to do with Storm. Watch the film below.

We’re all waiting for The Revolution. Well, at least some of us are. But what happens if you don’t get the memo. What if The Revolution starts and you’re left in the dark. Hopefully, you’ll have a friend to fill you in. This is what “The Memo” explores.

Synopsis:

When Felicia gets the long awaited memo she is set to join the revolution, but shockingly her co-worker Ted isn’t ready–he didn’t get THE MEMO! Now it is up to Felicia to get Ted to be a part of the revolution by any means necessary.

Heist films when done properly can be thrilling film with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The actual heist is usually the heart of the film. But what about a film that focus on the aftermath of a heist. That is what “The Tally” is.

Synopsis:

This film is about a group of people who get together after a bank heist and are celebrating. Little do they know one of their own isn’t as happy to celebrate.

‘Diary of a Badman’

An upcoming film from Deniran Films, “Diary of a Birdman” seems to be a thrilling adventure through the drug world. The detective and lead character is female, which should give a refreshing take on the whole undercover cop movie. Cop films are male dominated, with women usually playing love interests, victims, or supporting cops with little screen. Black women usually don’t get these many options, so here’s to more films like this one.

Synopsis:

Lady Detective, Simone Williams (played by actress Jacinth Sutphin), a Jamaican immigrant to the US, dreams of working undercover on a high profile case. She finally gets her chance to go undercover to catch a notorious drug dealer, Winston Bailey aka Bucky. She falls victim to his charming personality; compromising her assignment. Lines begin to blur as she gets in deeper. Over time, Williams develops a close bond with Bailey, and their loyalties are put to the ultimate test.
