If you’re a filmmaker in the NYC area and you have that awesome idea for a film or television series, then you should check out the African Film Festival. There will be a chance to for you to pitch your idea to several people in the industry. While you’re there, you should also check out the festival.
The African Film Festival, Inc. is hosting “The Restless Pitch” (www.restlesstalent.com/#Pitch). It’s an event that gives filmmakers an opportunity to pitch an idea for film or TV in front of top industry professionals.
The panel consists of: Tendeka Matatu (Producer/Restless Talent), Cheryl Duncan (Cheryl Duncan & Company Inc.), Jordan Mattos (Indie Pix), Jamund Washington (Producer/Director) and Kivu Ruhorahoza (Actor/Director).

Filmmaker are selected at random and would have 3 minutes to pitch. The panel will then have 5 – 8 minutes to respond. Responses from panelists will focus on the creative merits of the pitch as well as provide advice on the quality of the pitch. It’s an open, dynamic and fun pitching session in front of a live audience.
