When we last left Ghost (Omari Hardwick) on Power, he was willing to give up everything and ride off in the sunset with his love, Angela. Power will be back this summer. The second season will consist of ten episodes, two more than the first season. Season Two will see the stakes raised as Ghost must figure out who tried to kill him while navigating his affair with Angela without her finding out who he is. Then to top it off, Kanan is out of jail and is up to no good.

Power has been compared to Empire several time, but it’s a whole different breed. The stakes and risks are much higher. Each decision is a matter of life and death. Will Ghost’s actions finally catch up with him, or will he come out on top?

Synopsis:

James “Ghost” St. Patrick has it all: a beautiful wife, a Manhattan penthouse, and New York’s hottest, up-and-coming new nightclub – Truth. As it’s success grows, so do Ghost’s plans to build an empire. After a season of her life spiraling out of control, Mary Jane Paul returns in the BET hit, Being Mary Jane. In the first season, Mary Jane dealt with problems with every last member of her family. Her love life was so complicated that it could only be described as a love polygon. She walked the line of ethics several times at work. She stole sperm and then froze it (improperly).

This season, Mary Jane is supposed to get her life back on track, but how long will that last? I say fifteen minutes. Mary Jane is a trouble magnet. I almost feel bad for her. But her problems make for good television.
