'Hidden Figures' Poster

Black women are generally the unsung heroes in any field. Why would space exploration be any different? Hidden Figures tells the story of three Black women (played by three talented women) who played key parts in the Space Race. The film is based on the book of the same name by Margot Lee Shetterly.

Synopsis:

Hidden Figures is the incredible untold story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn, and Mary Jackson, brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.

Cast:

Hidden Figures is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 13, 2017. Tickets are available here.
