Tony Todd

Tony Todd has signed on to voice the villain Zoom in the upcoming season of The Flash, joining a cast that has already proved to be diverse. He will make his first appearance in the second episode.

The Flash‘s executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg told Variety,

“Last year, with the Reverse-Flash, we just modulated Tom Cavanagh’s voice, and this year we wanted to do something a little bit different. Part of the mystery of the season is who or what is underneath the Zoom outfit, and so we wanted to do something like James Earl Jones as Darth Vader — this iconic voice coming out of this mask. Last year, we thought of the Reverse-Flash as a speed warrior; this year, Zoom is like a speed demon, and no one does demon-voice better than Tony Todd.”

It will be a while before we find out who is beneath the mask, but that should be interesting.

What will be certain is that Tony Todd will be bring a good performance. He has been in over 100 films and television shows. He is no stranger to voice work, as he voiced The Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen among other roles.

Season Two of The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 6 at 8/7c on The CW.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

It’s already been established that 2015 is the year of the biopic. But it seems that it’s also the year of the remake/reboot. It seems like every week, some series or film is getting remade. Now, we can add The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to that list.

Will Smith has taken the helm with his production company, Overbrook Entertainment. It’s unclear if it will be a reboot or a continuation of the original series, but the pitch is being finalized and will soon be shopped around.

Will this series be connected to the first? Will Aunt Viv be dark skinned or light skinned? Will it star Jaden Smith? Will Geoffrey be there? Does anyone want this series?

Keiynan Lonsdale - The Flash

It looks like the producers of The CW DC universe is upping its melanin count. Earlier it was announced that Echo Kellum has been cast as Mr. Terrific in Arrow. The Arrow version is Curtis Holt, a tech inventor at Palmer Technologies, who also happens to be gay.

The West family in The Flash will also get an addition in the form of Wally West, known in the comics as Kid Flash. Keiynan Lonsdale will be donning the role. He will enter The Flash as a series regular. It will be interesting to see what his connection to the West family will be since he was Iris’s nephew in the comics. Maybe he’ll be Joe West’s nephew or his estranged son. I guess we’ll see.

Season Two of Arrow premieres October 7 at 8/7c on The CW.

Season Two of The Flash premieres October 6 at 8/7c on The CW.
