It’s been over a decade since the last Barbershop film was released, but it’s time to jump back in the chair with Barbershop: The Next Cut. Some new faces join the regulars, and the film is helmed by Malcolm D. Lee. Is another visit in the chair what we need, or has the time passed. Check out the trailer below and share your thoughts.

Synopsis:

It’s been more than 10 years since our last appointment at Calvin’s Barbershop. Calvin and his longtime crew are still there, but the shop has undergone some major changes. Most noticeably, our once male-dominated sanctuary is now co-ed. The ladies bring their own flavor, drama, and gossip to the shop challenging the fellas at every turn. Despite the good times and camaraderie within the shop, the surrounding community has taken a turn for the worse, forcing Calvin and our crew to come together not only to save the shop, but their neighborhood.

Lifetime : Bob Mahoney

Tonight we’ll get a break with the Lifetime biopics with With This Ring. Think of With This Ring as a pregnancy pact for grown people without the messy baby. The cast should make this a decent film because Regina Hall alone will make you laugh. Let’s hope Lifetime hits this one out of the park.

Synopsis:

After attending their friend Elise’s wedding on New Year’s Eve, Trista, a career-­driven talent agent, Viviane, a successful gossip columnist, and Amaya, a struggling actress, make a pact to get married within the year to either a new love or a man waiting in the wings. But the close friends face their own set of challenges – Trista has not gotten over her commitment-­phobic ex-­boyfriend Damon, Viviane is secretly in love with Sean, the father of her son, and Amaya is desperate to break up her boyfriend Keith’s unhappy marriage so they can live happily ever after. Each woman starts the year with high hopes and dreams of what will happen over the next 12 months…but will they all make it to the altar?
